Notes
This pattern is in US terminology only.
I use the yarn under/yarn over method, but you may use whichever method you prefer. Keep in mind different crocheting methods may alter the way your plushie turns out.
All decreases in this pattern use the invisible decrease method because the regular decrease may leave larger gaps in your work. I highly recommend using the invisible decrease method.
If you’re having trouble closing your magic ring for ‘Round 1: mr sc 12,’ try the chain 2 method instead!
For the jumbo tooth, I’d recommend using a white worsted weight yarn to sew any openings shut since the jumbo yarn is prone to snapping. I also like to double strand the jumbo yarn with worsted weight for the magic ring portion specifically so that I can use the worsted weight to tighten the magic ring without snapping the yarn! (I found it impossible to close a magic ring with the jumbo yarn)

Abbreviations
ch = chain
mr = magic ring
sc = single crochet
inc = single crochet increase
dec = invisible decrease
sc2tog = single crochet 2 together
rnd = round
slst = slip stitch
st(s) = stitch(es)
FO = fasten off
Check out my vlog of designing this pattern!
Use the ‘Main Color’ and crochet in continuous rounds.
Round 1: mr 6 (6)
Round 2: inc 6 (12)
Round 3: inc 12 (24)
Round 4: (sc, inc) x12 (36)
*Tip: It’s normal for your tooth to have ripples due to the large amount of increases. These will be smoothed out once we stuff the tooth later on.
Round 5: (sc 5, inc) x6 (42)
Round 6: sc 3, inc, (sc 6, inc) x5 (48)
Round 7: sc 4, inc 4, (sc 8, inc 4) x3, sc 4 (64)
Round 8: sc 6, inc 4, (sc 12, inc 4) x3, sc 6 (80)
Round 9-12: sc around (80) 4 ROUNDS
Round 13: sc 4, dec, (sc 8, dec) x7, sc 4 (72)
Round 14-21: sc around (72) 8 ROUNDS
Round 22: sc 5, dec, (sc 10, dec) x5, sc 5 (66)
Round 23-24: sc around (66) 2 ROUNDS
Round 25: (sc 9, dec) x6 (60)
If you’d like to add safety eyes, do so now. I add 35mm sinker safety eyes between rnds 18-19 about 7 visible sts apart (on my regular sized tooth). Next, start stuffing the tooth. Make sure to stuff it pretty firmly at the top to smooth out all of the ripples.
In rnd 26, we’ll be splitting the rnd into 4 sections using ch's. Keep in mind the ch’s and slst’s are counted within the st count and NOT the skipped sts.
Before we begin rnd 26, make an additional 4 sc, or however many necessary so that your rnd starts in the center of one of the four sides of the tooth.
Round 26: (ch 10, skip 14 sts, slst) x4 (44)
In rnd 27, we’ll be crocheting through the ch’s and slsts to close up the center of the tooth.
Round 27: sc, sc2tog, (sc 2, sc2tog) x10, sc (33)
Round 28: (sc, dec) x11 (22)
Round 29: dec 11 (11)
Make an additional 5 dec sts so that you’re left with 6 sc’s in the rnd. Now FO, leaving a long enough yarn tail to close the opening shut. Stuff the tooth to your liking and sew the opening shut.
Make a slip knot on your hook with the ‘Main Color’ and insert it into the 6th ch [of any of the the ch 10’s]. I like to place a st marker on the first ch st to keep track of it, hence why I have a st marker there ~ this isn’t necessary as long as you can keep track of your ch sts! Now begin rnd 1 of the root, and crochet in continuous rounds.
Round 1-6: sc around (24) 6 ROUNDS
Round 7: sc, dec, (sc 2, dec) x5, sc (18)
Round 8: sc around (18)
Tip: Add 2 additional rnds of sc’s for the jumbo tooth.
Round 9: (sc, dec) x6 (12)
Round 10: dec 6 (6)
Tip: The roots for the jumbo tooth should have 12 rounds!
FO, leaving a long tail to sew the opening shut. Repeat this section 3 more times for the other 3 roots.
Use the ‘Main Color’ to sew any gaps between the roots shut. For the jumbo tooth, you may want to use the white worsted weight yarn for this, I find that it’s a lot easier to tighten without snapping the yarn!
